Vitamin D3. Personal experience I share first-hand Leave a comment

Vitamin D is a unique vitamin in my opinion. For some reason, vitamins are generally undervalued today. For your record, there are provitamins D2, D3 and D4 (the latter is inactive for a person). As I was born in the US, I can say with confidence that most of the northern American citizens of my glorious country need D3. Initially, this vitamin has been synthesized for the treatment of rickets. At the beginning of the 20th century, doctors did not know how to effectively deal with this ailment. But already in 1936, based on a laboratory study in fish this vitamin was derived from fish oil. Further, they began to remove it from the skin of the pig under UV rays.
At its core, this vitamin D3 is cholesterol converted by UV rays. All of us have heard from childhood that vitamin D comes to us from the sun; this is not quite so, though. It is only transformed in our skin by the action of the sun rays. Being partly northern our country misses this “yellow friend”, a shortage is sometimes significant. Therefore, we simply need to take vitamin D from other source.

Vitamin D3 seems to be able to increase the level of testosterone in the body. Thus, for athletes, I must say, vitamin D couldn’t be better. I also want to share my personal observations with you, my subject athlete took this supplement for 7 weeks, his diet  however remained the same. At the end of the experiment, we managed to achieve strength and increase in muscle mass by 2kg, but I need to mention that this athlete has a sound training experience of more than 2 years and he has always followed the diet and exercises, without a break or using the artificial steroids.

This vitamin has had an undeniable benefit to me too during the treatment of the shoulder joint. The injury did not let me go for 8 months, although I tried everything I knew at that time. The positive effect came by chance  when I came across a very competent endocrinologist, who advised me to use this miracle in the dosage of 5000 ME. Honestly, I took it without much of enthusiasm, but after 4-5 weeks, the pain started to disappear and then stopped completely.

By the way, we often can observe a deficiency of vitamin D3 in the elderly. This might be due to a bad calcium metabolism gradually resulting in bone fragility. In children with rickets, we can Vitamin’svitaminsobserve a softening of the bones.

Vitamin D3 is fat soluble, this means it requires fat to be absorbed. Ideally, Omega-3 is suitable. Keep in mind that in case of excessive use of this vitamin, you can observe negative consequences.

P.S. Have all great health and good thinking.
